Atomwear - Micro, Modularized, Open source, Nordic based Wearable BLE project

ATOMWARE is a great and insteresting project based on Nordic BLE chipset from Giayee, aims to create an easy-to-use, expandable deveopment kit for anyone who want to start a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) project, provides a new development mode for BLE project, just like children playing with building blocks. Atomwear is an adventrous design for DIYers.

Features in Atomwear

It’s modular in design!
Giayee designed many micro-sized modules, including BLE MCU module, battery charger module, acceleration sensor module, baroceptor module, temperature sensor module, gyroscope module,  OLED display module, heart rate sensing module, etc. Each of  module performs one or two functions, which then can be assembled together to create a variety of cool products. The possibilities are endless!

It has a 24-pin uniform interface!
All the modules have an uniform 24-pin interface . Atomwear’s interface board has six 24-pin sockets, connected  in parallel, for your different modules.

It’s completely customizable!
Of the six sockets, two of them will default to be a power supply module and a BLE MCU module, as they are essential to any BLE projects. The remaining four sockets can be used to add any other functions. The only thing need to do is to design a new module with Atomwear’s uniform interface.

It’s tiny!
Battery : 20mm*10mm*3.0mm with 40mAh.
MCU board: 10mm*21mm.
Other boards: 10mm*10mm.

It’s totally Open source!
Giayee will provide samples ,the demo android app and API of Atomwear for backers, and also will open all their source code to them.

Currently, Giayee has the the design for a mould and the first trial sample. They can become an actual wearable device soon. Giayee need  supporters  to fund the production of it to buy components in bulk quantities at much lower prices,as well as be able to have the Atomwear boards assembled professionally. This has a direct benefit to supporters, as you will get a more powerful Atomwear at a lower price. If anyone has any interests, please support Atomwear on kickstarter

If you want root, this method is still working just fine. (already tested by me)
It's true, now the low volume in voice calls is gone, everything is working just fine. (also tested by me ;) )

Enjoy, share is love!

It's possible to work also on Qube Colonia, Elephone P2000 and Doogee Dagger DG550 (it only has 1GB of RAM, but in rest all the specs are almost the same).

Giayee P105 Quad-Core ARM Ubuntu/Android Mini PC, a more powerful alternative to Raspberry Pi

There is no denying the fact that Raspberry Pi has helped raise awareness of the possibilities for not only small but also inexpensive computers. But it's not powerful enough to do some CPU-heavy work, while faster options are emerging for users attracted to such board-like devices.

Giayee P105 Quard-Core ARM Ubuntu/Android Mini PC is just a powerful alternative. Giayee P105 is based on a Quad core 1.6GHz Rockchip RK3188 SoC with integrated GPU (quad Mali-400), enabling the device to run as a server (email, file, web) and also as a media center. Although Raspberry Pi can do these things also but Giayee P105 is faster. Besides, Giayee P105 can support high-end features such as 1080P video.

Compared with Raspberry Pi's one HDMI port, Giayee P105 supports VGA port, with 16 or 32bpp color depth, can be set up to 1920x1080 definition. The Giayee P105's three USB ports also gives it a bit more breathing room, relative to the one on BeagleBone Black.

There are two configurations depending on which CPU ,how much RAM and on-board flash storage you want. The less expensive Giayee P105 goes for $49 and has Rockchip RK3168 Dual core ARM Cortex A9 1.2GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of flash.By comparation the BeagleBone Black revision C has a single core ARM with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of flash and is offered at $55.

Giayee P105 will blow your doors off with high-performance specs, but it will not blow all the cash in your wallet. If you want a small low-powered, low-cost but powerful machine. Giayee P105 might be just what you are looking for. Even if you are happy with your current device, this would make a great gift or perhaps a great backup device.

How to install Android L boot animation on any smartphone

First, download AndroidL-Bootanimation.zip from here, here or here.

Installation of boot animation is relatively simple. However, as is the case in such situations, you must have a rooted device. Then, a file manager, like Root Explorer or X-plore is another absolute must. If you meet these conditions, all you have to do is download the zip. file with the new animation on your phone or SD card. Do not forget to make a backup of the old one if you want to return

The file will be copied into the System / Media. But this is not all. We have also mentioned using one of the file managers, to set permissions in the format 644. That is all. On the first restart you will enjoy the new animation.
Warning: Do it at your own risk!
