Video: How to easily flash firmware on Rikomagic V5 RK3288 Android TV Stick

In this video tutorial I show you how to easily flash firmware on Rikomagic V5 TV Stick with Rockchip RK3288 CPU.

1. First of all, install Rockchip driver using RK Driver Assistant v4.1. If your PC has Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, make sure to disable driver signature enforcement. If your PC has Windows 8.1 x64 bit, like in my case, follow this tutorial to easily install Rockchip driver. 
2. Download Rockchip Batch Tool v1.8 from here. 
3. Download latest stock firmware for Rikomagic V5 from here. (V5 FW_141215) 
4. Put the device in Recovery mode. To do that use an USB cable and plug it into PC USB port first (don't connect with USB OTG now). Prepare a thin stick and press the button inside the recovery hole. Don’t loose the stick, at same time, plug the USB cable into USB OTG port of the V5, after 3-5s,loose the stick. If there will pop up a guide window asking to install new driver then go to step 1.


5. Launch Rockchip Batch Tool v1.8 and select the firmware image (Press '...' button on the first row --> FW path). If your device is in Recovery Mode then in 'Connected Device' the first position will turn into green. Press 'Restore' button and wait for 5 minutes.

Huawei Honor 6 Plus Root Tutorial

Compatible with Huawei Honor 6 Plus Unicom standard, the high-end version can also be rooted. Download root files pach from here.
 

1. Apply for the unlock code before root
No unlocking, no rooting. Unlocking is for brushing into the REC of the third party for your mobile. Only with the third party REC, you can enter the card brush model and choose the card package that you want. Attention please: The official defaulted model is the card brush package that you can't choose the local files!


So how to gain the product identification code? Well, enter the following characters on the dial interface, and then you will see the identification code with eight digital. After all have been done right, you are sure to gain the unlocking code.
 
2. Download the driver
Without the driver, you can't make your computer connected with your mobile. Downloading the attachment of "A key to install ADB Tool", and then install it according to the tips step by step.
 
3. Unlocking
3.1 Start the developer option: Open the Setting-Choose About Mobile-Click the version number continuously. At the process of clicking, it will remind you "How many times will it open the developer option?".
3.2 Return to the Setting, there is a "Developer Option" at the bottom, click it and open the "USB Debugging".
3.3 Turn off your phone. First press the volume- button without loosening your hand and then insert USB, next waiting for the appearing of the robot, which means you have entered the bootloader model, then lossen your finger.
3.4 Download the "Intelligent Unlock Tool" , after unzipping, open the "Click Here.bat" file. The first page is the introduction, please read carefully.

 
 
 

After successfully to unlock, it will show "PHONE UNLOCK", and the press the power button until restart to the desktop.

4. Copy the "SuperSU Pro" straight brush to your phone
Connect your phone to the computer, download the "SuperSU_Pro_v2.42-BETA_update_iKiraCN" attachment, copy the authorization documents into the your mobile root directory.

5. Brush into REC of the third party
The successful unlock means that your phone gain the permission for brushing REC. Download the "Huawei Honor 6 Plus the third party REC", and then unzip it. Keep in mind that there is no virus with the attachment, while it will remind you of the virus, so turn off the antivirus software before unzipping.

Open the unzipped files after you phone has been connected with the computer.


Either choose 1 or 2, the difference is that No.1 can't support charging when turning off your phone for the Chinese-English version REC, and the No.2 support it with the English version REC.

There will be tip appeared, and whether you brushed into the REC is located in whether you can enter it or nor.

There are two ways for entering the REC. First, open the file after your phone restart to enter the desktop, and click "4. Restart your phone to REC". The second way is to turn off your phone, and then press the "Volume+ " and the "Power button" at the same time, and then you can enter into the REC.

After entering the REC, click the second one, and choose the "SuperSU_Pro_v2.42-BETA_update_iKiraCN" card brud=shing file, you will make it after the flash.

How to easily upgrade firmware on Vigica C70S Smart TV Box

In this video tutorial I show you how to easily flash firmware on Vigica C70S Smart TV Box.

Warning!
If the firmware update, your installation and storage files will lost,Please backup your files before update!

Flashing firmware guide
Step 1: Select the FAT32 mode and Format the TF card
Step 2: Download the latest Vigica C70S firmware from here. Unzip the archive and copy the 7 files (1>aml_autoscript 2>factory_update_param.aml 3>recovery.img 4>g18ref_th12-ota-20141205.V0428-vin.zip 5>u-boot.bin 6>unlock_autoscript 7>boot.ing) to TF Card
Step 3: Disconnect the power, insert the TF card into TV Box's TF card reader slot
Step 4: Plug in the power, wait 20 seconds will start to update
Step 5: When the TV screen display Erasing, remove the TF Card (This step is very important!) and continue to wait for five or ten minutes. If the box doesnt restart after 15 minutes, power off and power on again and it should boot the new firmware.
Step 6: The update will be completed, enjoy! 

 

How to easily flash firmware on Jesurun T034 / Rikomagic V5 / Vigica VG328 TV Sticks

In this video tutorial I show you how to easily flash firmware on Jesurun T034 / Rikomagic V5 / Vigica VG328 TV Sticks with Rockchip RK3288 CPU.

1. First of all, install Rockchip driver using RK Driver Assistant v4.1. If your PC has Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, make sure to disable driver signature enforcement. If your PC has Windows 8.1 x64 bit, like in my case, follow this tutorial to easily install Rockchip driver.
2. Download Rockchip Batch Tool v1.8 from here.
3. Download latest stock firmware for your device. For Jesurun T034 TV Stick here is the latest stock firmware.
4. Put the device in Recovery mode. In my case, to put Jesurun T034 TV Stick in recovery mode I had first to connect the USB cable to the OTG port, press RECOVERY button, then connect the other end of the cable, with full size USB, to the PC.
5. Launch Rockchip Batch Tool v1.8 and select the firmware image (Press '...' button on the first row --> FW path). If your device is in Recovery Mode then in 'Connected Device' the first position will turn into green. Press 'Restore' button and wait for 5 minutes.

To easily root any Rockchip RK3288 devices without PC just follow these steps:

1. Go to PlayStore search and install Root Checker, just to make sure that your device's firmware is not pre-rooted. In that case go to step 5. Run the application and check.
2. Open a browser and search for 'Towelroot', then open https://towelroot.com website. 
3. Press lambda symbol and download tr.apk on your device. If the downloaded file name is tr.txt, just rename it an change the extension to .apk. Make it sure you have checked that option in the Settings which allows to install third-party applications from unknown sources.
4. Install tr.apk, run it and the tap on “make it ra1n” button. The tool will install the required files on your device and make it rooted.
5. Go to Playstore and install SuperSu or Superuser application. Run it and update the binaries.

Ugoos UM3 Firmware Update Guide

What you need
- firmware image file
- Host PC
- USB OTG Cable

Supported host OS 
- Windows XP （32/64bit)
- Windows 7 (32/64bit)
- Windows 8 (32/64bit)

The first thing you need to do is to download the archive with firmware. Inside arhive you find:
- BatchTool or Android Tool - tool for reflashing
- DriverAssitant - tool to install drivers and firmware image file
- Firmware image

Installing drivers 
Launch RK DriverAssitant and press on button “Install Driver”. During installation programm a couple of times will ask whether you want to install the driver. At the end installation you can see  window what driver is successfully installed.  

 

Connecting device to PC
Find recovery button on device, press and hold it.
Connect device to PC via USB by OTG.


Upgrading firmware with Android Tool
Run the Android Tool and click on the “Upgrade Firmware”.  If you did everything correctly and the driver is installed on your computer, you will see “Found One Loader Device“. Click on button “Firmware” and specify the path to the firmware file. You need waiting until the program downloading information about the firmware, then it will display some information on the screen.Now click the Upgrade button to the firmware of the device. At the end you will see a sign indicating a successful operation.

 

Upgrading firmware with Rockchip Batch Tool
Run the Rockchip Batch Tool and click on the “…” to choose file with firmware.  If you did everything correctly and the driver is installed on your computer, you will see green light on one of the  indicators. Now click the Upgrade button to the firmware of the device. At the end you will see a sign indicating a successful operation.​

Hello everybody. In this tutorial I show you how to easily cast screen from your Android device to Eweat EW902 TV Box.

1. First, your Android device must be 'cast screen' compatible (hardware & firmware). Not all Android devices support this function.
2. Both devices (Eweat EW902 TV Box and your Android smartphone or tablet) must use / share the same WiFi hotspot / internet network.
3. Make sure that Eweat EW902 TV Box is updated at the latest firmware version. Just in case, follow this tutorial to install the new firmware. Turn on 'Sink' option on Eweat EW902 TV Box, in Miracast settings.  Next, launch Miracast application.
4. On your 'cast screen' compatible Android Devices go to Settings --> Display --> Cast screen and enable wireless display.
5. On Eweat EW902 TV Box accept invitation to connect.

This is a simple tutorial on how to easily update Android firmware from SD Card on Armada Mach 8 TV Box with Amlogic S802 CPU via micro SD card method.

Instructions 
1. Download the latest firmware with Code Red Launcher from here.
2. Extract all the files in the zip to a freshly formatted SD Card.
3. Make sure the power IS NOT connected and Insert the SD Card in the TV Box
4. In the back of the device, Locate the A/V port and insert a tooth pick or something none conductive into the hole. You should feel a button being pressed. 
5. Press and hold the Button in the A/V hole while plugging in the power. Keep holding the button for 10 seconds
6. If you did the steps correctly you should see an green Android robot with a progress bar below. Your box is now updating. DO NOT TURN OFF THE POWER OR TOUCH THE BOX!
7. When the update is completed your box will automatically reboot on it's own. The first boot will take some time so be patience

1. First of all, go here and download Nexus Root Toolkit 1.9.5. Install the software. 
2. Next go to https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images and download your Nexus Lollipop image. (Nexus 4, in my case). By the way, you can download Lollipop firmware for Nexus 4 from here, here or here. (occam-lrx21t-factory-51cee750.tgz)


3. Make sure that your Nexus device has 'USB Debugging' option activated.
4. Launch Nexus Root Toolkit 1.9.5., press 'Flash Stock & Unroot), next press 'OK' and after this press 'Other'.. & 'I downloaded a factory image....'. Press 'OK' button and choose the Lollipop firmware image.

This is a simple tutorial on how to easily flash firmware on Tronfy MXQ S805 Android TV Box with Amlogic S805 CPU.

1. First, download the new stock firmware from here.
2. Download AMLogic USB Burning Tool v2.0.0.140306_Alpha. It's working also on Windows 8.1 64 bit (my PC OS), but you'll have to disable driver signature enforcement. Then you have to put Tronfy MXQ S805 Android TV in flash mode. To do that, prepare a thin metal stick / paper clip, then press and hold the restore button (inside the AV port hole) and press Power button at the same time. After 3-5 seconds USB_Burning_Tool will detect the USB device. (with the DC and OTG USB cable  plugged in). Install AMLogic USB Burning Tool v2.0.0.140306_Alpha and the drivers.
3. Launch USB_Burning_Tool, change the language to English. Click 'File' and choose 'Import image', choose the .img file you just download. Click "Start" to start firmware upgrade, it should take around 3-4 mins and please do NOT power off / unplug device during firmware upgrade. After finished firmware upgrade, it will auto disconnected. Now you can unplug it and connect to TV again.

Instructions

1. Download the firmware archive from here and extract it on desktop.
2. Second, connect MK902II to your computer. Prepare an USB cable (male USB to male USB cable); insert one USB port to computer usb host. Prepare also a thin metal stick; press the recover button like in the image below. Don’t loose the stick, at same time, insert the another USB port to the unit USB slave  port. After 3-5 seconds, loose the stick.




 

3. Install driver using RK Driver Assistant. 
4. Burn the image with Rockchip Batch Tool v1.7 using 'Restore' button.



This process will take about 4 minutes, please wait patiently, during recovery/upgrade, don’t remove the USB cable and don’t power off during updating or recovering. First reboot of the unit after recovery/update will take more long time than usual, and even occur some lag issue, it’s normal since internal apk files need to be decompressed and occupy RAM, after 5 minutes, then system will be running well. So don’t worry about that.

How to fix Invalid IMEI on Mediatek devices

This is a short tutorial on how to fix IMEI problems on your Mediatek MT6592 devices.

1. Download 'Invalid IMEI fix.rar' archive from here, here or here. Extract it.
2. Install the "SmartPhoneDriver" choose x64 or x86 and click on "spinstall.exe" it will install the vcom drivers needed for "BIRDA_SN_STATION_MT6592", I included the "MT65xx Preloader" drivers if you need it install with Device manager
3. Install "BIRDA_SN_STATION_MT6592", click on "setup.exe" "next, next, next, Finish"
4. Open "BIRDA_SN_STATION_MT6592" on the desktop icon
5. Select "USB VCOM", "SmartPhone", "WCDMA+TD", "System Config" Select only "IMEI" and "Dual IMEI" don't choose "Dual IMEI Same"
6. In "Data Base" click on "MD DB_1" go to extracted "db" folder and select file "BPLGUInfoCustomAppSrcP_MT6592_S00_MOLY_WR8_W1315_MD_WG_MP_V34_P2_1_wg_n", click on "AP DB" and select file "APDB_MT6592_S01_KK1.MP1_", click "OK"
7. Click on "Start" and write your IMEI_1 and IMEI_2 (the original Imeis of your phone is on the back cover behind the battery), click "OK"
8. Shutdown phone and take off the battery, insert battery again and connect the usb to phone, it will start to write imei to device and you will never gonna loose your IMEI again
9. After finished disconnect phone and turn it on.

This is a simple tutorial on how to flash firmware on RKM M3, Podoor MI W2 or PW305 Linux watches.

1. First, you'll have to download the firmware archive 'SmartWatch M3 Software(140905) - PW-V2_9' from here, here or here. You can also download previous version 2.7 from here.
2. Install driver for the smart watch. Extract the archive and search 'USB_Driver_exe_v1.1032.1' driver. Run 'InstallDriver.exe' as Admin and install the drivers. I have Windows 8.1 Pro x64 and it worked with no problem at all.
3. Open “download” folder, double click “MultiPortFlashDownloadProject, click up and left corner 'File---Open Download Agent File', select 'download folder----MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin', and then click “open”. Next you have to choose the firmware version which you want to flash (140905_M3_RKM), click 'Image Folder' and then go to where you store the firmware. After finishing above steps, click 'Start All' (down and right corner), power off your watch, and then connect watch to computer via USB data cable. During burning time, the data will keep updating, it is normal, don’t worry. (red line, yellow line, blue line and finally the green line). When green color line is displayed it means that the flashing was successful.
4. Install the provided 'SmartWatch.apk' on the Android devices you want to pair with your smart watch.

The easiest way to install TWRP 2.7.0.0 on E-ceros Vision / Vido M10 / YuanDao M10 KitKat tablet.

1. Download and extract 'ROM Flash Tool 1.37.rar' from here, here or here.
2. Put the tablet in bootloader mode. You can easily do that  using 'Quick Boot' application.
3. Run 'ROM_Flash_Tool_137.exe'. On the flashtool check and select as recovery.img the provided E-cerosVision_VidoM10_1920x1200_rk31xx_KK.img, confirm offset location, and unselect everything else. DON'T ERASE IDB and press Run. Enjoy.

How to easily unlock bootloader and root Acer Iconia A1-811 tablet with Android KitKat 4.4.2

First, download and extract 'A1-811' archive from here, here or here. This is very easy, it only takes 5 minutes, just read carefully and follow  the instructions. If you have Acer Iconia A1-810 tablet then read this article.

Attention! Author of this guide is not responsible to any damage you got when unlocking! Only for 4.4! Warranty will void! You won't be able to flash original Acer updates!

Installing the driver
1. Find 'Drivers' folder in the extracted archive. Disable signature enforcement if you're on Windows 8 / 8.1.
2. There are two executable files:
2.1 Run install_driver.exe as Administrator if your OS is 32-bit.
2.2 Run installdrv64.exe as Administrator if your OS is 64-bit.
3. Wait 2 minutes. There's no feedback from installer.
4. Reboot PC and connect turned-off tablet to it. New drivers may be installed.
My PC has Windows 8.1 Pro x64 and everything worked just fine.
 
Preparing to serious work
1. Backup all your data!
2. Back-up all your personal data and MAC addresses
3. Charge your tablet on 100%!

Unlocking bootloader and installing CWM 6.0.5.0
1. Download an archive and unpack it in short path, for example in C:/
2. Launch "/SPFT/flash_tool.exe".
3. Load scatter from "/811 Unlocking and CWM/".
3.1 If Rescue folder is being used, load scatter from "/Rescue/".
4. Press Window - Write Memory. One more tab will appear, open it.
5. Press "Open RAW Data...", choose "/811 Unlocking and CWM/secuoff.img".
6. Memory type: EMMC.
7. Start Address: 0x3D80000.
8. Copy "File Size (bytes)" to Container Length field.


9. Press "Write Memory".
10. Connect your turned-off tablet to PC.
11. Progress bar will fill with red, then with dark green.
12. After this you will see a green circle.
13. Disconnect the cable. DO NOT try to turn your tablet on!
14. Go to "Download" tab.
15. Check files:
PRELOADER "/811 Unlocking and CWM/preloader_unlock.bin"
RECOVERY "/811 Unlocking and CWM/recovery.img"
If you are using Rescue folder:
PRELOADER "/811 Rescue/preloader.bin"
RECOVERY "/811 Rescue/recovery.img"
SEC_RO "/811 Rescue/secro.img"
16. Press "Download" and connect the cable again.
17. Progress bar will fill with red, then with purple, then with yellow.
18. After this you will see a green circle.
19. Disconnect the cable, wait 5 seconds and try to turn it on!
19.1 If all was booted OK, try to boot in CWM.
19.2 If A1-811 is not reacting to Power button, then run Guide #3 using Rescue folder.
19.3 Stuck on Acer logo? Press Reset and retry!

Root Acer Iconia A1-811 tablet
1. Copy provided 'UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip' to a micro SD card. Insert the card into the tablet.
2. Reboot the tablet into CWM (turn it off, press together Power On & Volume+ buttons)
3. Install UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip from CWM.
4. Restart your tablet. You're done!
