- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.- And green circles display- Finish!

Elephone decided the specifications of P5000 smartphone

When we decided to design P5000, we thought it would be great to determine the product with help of our fans. And the final specifications are decided regarding to the polls in our forum and cost containment. The competitive product shall has not only good specifications but also favorable price.

Two versions of P5000 will be available, 3G version and 4G version, since there're still many countries only has 3G network available. It's good idea to make 3G version available first. The phone runs MTK 6592 Octa core SoC and 2GB of RAM, it's capable of majority of tasks. The 4G version packs MTK6752 Octa core SoC and 2GB of RAM as well. Both of them have IPS FHD screen with OGS technology. AMOLED screens will increase the price of the phone, so we don't want to use it on P5000.

The approximate lanuching time for 3G is January of 2015, 4G version is going to be launched in March of 2015.

Humanistic care is one of the core conceptions in smartphone design. And it's our principle while designing products. Majority of the smartphone users don't know the fact of harmness that smartphone display does. The high frequency blue light waves in the range from 380um to 420um harms eyes and deepen myopic degree. The outdoor reflection of ultraviolet rays causes dry skin, splash, chloasma. To protect your eyes and skin, this blue light tempered film came into being. 

The film prevents myopic. It filters out 100% of high frequency blue light in range from 380um to 410um and 60% of blue light in the range from 420um to 450um. So it filters out all high frequency blue light and avoids the penetration of blue light. 

The film also protects your skin. Durning the experiments, we found that the energy of blue light of 410um wavelength is equivalent to 1/3 of 380um energy. That means using smartphone for three hours is same as basking in the sun for one hour, that's the reason why you feel eye pain and dry skin. 

Furthermore, the hardness of the film reaches Mohs 9H and it's same as saphire's hardness. In short, diamond is the only thing that's able to make a scratch on it. Nano-coating on the film is water proof and anti-fingerprint.

Advanced internal storage technology on the future Elephone devices

Phone storage partition has been an issue ever since the 16GB ROM came out. Some customers asked us how to repartition the storage, because there is just about 2GB left for APPs, rest of the space is used for storing picture and videos etc. Even though there are softwares you can use for repartition, it was complicated for general smartphone users.

Good news is that we found a solution to the problem.  We've developed
a system that can allocate two parts of the phone storage freely, that means there's no appointed space for each purpose specifically. This advantage allows users to make the most of the phone storage. For instance, if the smartphone has 16GB phone storage and you'd like playing APPs, there 16GB for you to store them. On the other hand, if you'd like pictures, videos and musics, you may just use the entire storage.

This system will be applied on P2000, P3000, P3000s and P6000. The ROM is going to be available soon.
