Flashing Lenovo S860 with CN version Firmware - Today guide is we wanna to learn how to flashing Lenovo S860 with original official CN firmware, this only applied for CN phone only don't use it for Lenovo S860 from europe. Purpose to install CN official is so we can install Vibe UI v1.5 + Gapps + Root or we wanna update to Vibe UI v2.0. Those both need official CN to be install first before we can update. This guide will erase all your data on the phone and have possibility to brick your device so please do backup first before following this guide.

Disclaimer : This guide for educational purpose only, We not responsible if your device bricked after following this tutorial. Be careful failed update using this guide will make you must open your case to remove battery so consider it before follow this guide.



ROM Description :

• Use Android 4.2.2
• Only use for MT6582
• Official ROM for Lenovo S860
• Version S860_S122_140405
• No Google Applications include
• No Root
• Only support EN and CN languages

Downloads :

• S860_S122_140405 or S860_S122_140405.7z ↦ 1.2 Gb, contains all required file to flashing Lenovo S860 to official CN firmware.
• USB VCOM Driver ↦ Install this driver first on your computer, Turn off your device and remove the battery, using USB cable connect your device while look at My Computer ↦ Manage ↦ Device Manager there will be MTK65xx Preloader Devices show up for 5 second than disappeared, before disappeared right click on it and select Update Driver Software point it to USB VCOM Driver extracted folder. When it finish disconnect and connect again there will be Mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM Port on your device manager.
  
  
• SP Flash Tool v3.1324 ↦ this is an optional download, tool used for flashing ROM to your device. Already include when you download ROM.

Flashing Lenovo S860 with CN version Firmware

1. Download all required files to your computer, place it on one folder for easy organized it. Make sure USB VCOM driver completely install on your computer if not you will not unable to go to next step.
2. Extract S860_S122_140405, then extracts target_bin and S860_flashtool_20131031. You will only need this 2 folders and ignore the rest.
3. Go to S860_flashtool_20131031 extracted folder and run Flash_Tool.exe if you are using windows 7 please run it with administrator privilege. Checked DA DL All with Checksum option, this is must be checked. No click Scatter-Loading button and point it to target_bin/MT6582_Android_scatter.txt this will automatic load all necessary files to flash tool.
   
   
4. After that, just press Download button or hit F9. Flash tool will begin initialize the ROM file this will take time 1-2 minutes just wait for flash tool become stand by mode.
5. Now turn off your device, since Lenovo S860 use non-removable battery so you must wait until Lenovo S860 is completely turn off, because failing will make you open the case just for disconnect AC wire.
6. If you feel that your device already completely turn off, then connect your device to your computer using USB cable, Flash Tool will immediately recognize your device and begin the flashing process, Flashing process mark with RED, PURPLE, and YELLOW bar on the buttom the SP Flash Tool.
   
   
7. When you see GREEN CIRCLE in the middle of SP Flash Tool, then you can disconnect your device. It mean flashing process already finish with successful.
   
   
8. Done. Now you already successful install Official CN Firmware for Lenovo S860. check on your System Setting ↦ About Phone, look on the Build Number make sure it has the same version with downloaded ROM.
